Exactly my poin of view! I prefer spend a few of time before take an action but be sure to achieve the goal in the best way.
May happen that a first stes of analysis be not necessary, but this time spent is always more advantageous than the risks that you can meet otherwise, sometimes with unpredictable effects and no way to exit.
Analysis= little investment to balance goal, time and resources
However, not all situations in our life should be analyzed: there are various situations (e.g. relationships) in wich is nice to be driven by our instinct.
We are only humans :)

Good analysis, Tina. I also think like you.
I't's the same when you write source code of an application without a previous good analysis.

[...]Action doesn’t always equal progress[...], from Tumblr

WoH, this gent seemed very much in a hurry, so my impression is he would have done the same thing regardless of how many people were on the corner with him. And the same principle definitely applies to application development. A week of discussing and reviewing requirements can shave a month or more off of development time (at least, that's been my experience).

Ahh! I saw your post on FF earlier that mentioned a pedestrian. You are right. More haste, less speed. I wonder if you hadn't been there whether he would have done the same thing?
